Dalley Katich, 17, of Wilbur, will reign over the Colorama PRCA Rodeo this week, and she's looking forward to welcoming all to Colorama.

And look for Dalley to wave back at her in the parade and applaud when she rides out into the rodeo arena.

The high school junior has been in rodeo since age 3 and participates in barrel racing, pole bending and breakaway roping. She's been looking forward to representing Colorama on the rodeo circuit.

Besides rodeo, Katich also participates in 4H and FFA. She shows steers, sheep, goats and horses. She has always played basketball and was a cheerleader her sophomore year. She is an honor student, as well.

Katich has had many mentors that have shaped her life this far and says she "is very thankful for the guidance." Described as a person "grounded in faith" whose "kindness just shines from her," Dalley sees her experience in rodeo, and her upcoming commitment to this one, as a blessing.

"Rodeo has always been a huge part of my family and I am very blessed to have the opportunity to represent the Colorama PRCA rodeo and our community," she said. "Please join us, Mother's Day weekend in Grand Coulee, for some great rodeo action and to celebrate our association going to professional rodeo! I hope to see you all there to keep the sport of rodeo alive in our small town!"
