Celeste Laplace and Lillie Laplace placed first with this graphic design project. "FBLA puts out a prompt every year for graphic design," Lillie Laplace explained to The Star. "This year, we were supposed to come up with a sports team for our area, so we chose fencing because we thought it would be fun (especially because you can still do it safely with COVID)."
Lake Roosevelt students competed in the Future Business Leaders of America regional winter conferences in the last two weeks of February, qualifying for the state competition which will be held from April 21-24.
The competitions are held virtually this year.
FBLA Advisors Susan Duclos and Stacy Davis provided The Star with a list of students who placed in the regional event.
