The Wrap-up for Trees of Sharing 2020

Last updated 1/20/2021 at 8:18am

Trees of Sharing began Nov. 1 with a modest amount of uncertainty about what it might look like in the current COVID environment. True to form, however, the Coulee community enthusiastically supported the project, providing for delivery of wrapped Christmas gifts to 114 children in 50 families on Saturday, Dec. 19.

Thank you to every person who made a cash donation or purchased a gift to brighten the Christmas season for children in our area. Based on your generosity, in addition to providing a gift for each child, Trees of Sharing was pleased to include a food gift certificate for each of 48 separate households representing the 50 families we served.

Trees of Sharing extends special appreciation to the always willing Coulee Dam Federal Credit Union, Coulee Family Medicine, Harvest Foods, North Cascades Bank, and Safeway Pharmacy for help with collecting children’s names and/or displaying the trees with the ornaments. We are grateful to the Grand Coulee Community Church, the Lions Club, the American Legion, The Star newspaper, as well as the shopping, wrapping, and delivery volunteers who made sure every child’s wish was fulfilled. We are blessed to count on all of you each year as you generously share with others during the Christmas season.
