Police

11/23 - A man and woman started arguing because her child was throwing grapes while they were travelling together. They stopped at the gas station. Police spoke to both of them. The woman didn’t want to travel with the man anymore. She arranged for a ride to Omak. 

11/24 - A woman on Silver Drive said her husband wouldn’t unlock their car for her to get some belongings to leave the house following an argument. The man unlocked the car and the woman took off on foot after gathering some belongings. 

- A woman checking on her father’s house on Goodfellow Avenue reported someone had stolen items there. The burglar entered through a sliding door, where bootprints were photographed by police. Stolen items include two computers for which the woman provided serial numbers. Other missing items are a generator and hunting boots. A man seen at the residence recently was approached by police. The man said he had only been there to sell firewood for the woman, and he showed text messages documenting this agreement. He said he only went through what he was supposed to.

11/26 - A Lakeview Avenue woman told police she gets upset every time she goes outside and her porch light comes on, believing she is being recorded. The officer explained it was a motion-detection light. She asked him to make it stop. The officer unscrewed the lightbulb. 

11/28 - Police checked around Roosevelt Avenue where a woman was home alone and the dog was barking near the back door, raising her suspicions. Police told her they didn’t see anyone in the area. 

- An officer stood by in the Crescent Bay area while a National Park Service ranger spoke to multiple groups of people, 14 in total, about fishing and fire rules. 

- A man on Roosevelt Drive was upset that leaves had been blown by someone to  the curb next to his newly cleaned yard, and was afraid they would blow into his yard. He asked the officer to ask his neighbor not to do that again. 

- A good Samaritan turned in a wallet with cash and identification. The owner was contacted and retrieved the wallet.

11/30 - Police arrested a woman for burglarizing her grandfather’s residence on Burdin Boulevard. She was banned from the property and taken to jail for that incident and on a separate warrant.

- Police couldn’t locate a suspicious vehicle reported to sound like it had a flat tire and thought to be heading toward Eden Harbor.

11/23 - A man on Holly Street reported his rear license plate was stolen from his Chevy Suburban. Police reported the plate as stolen to Okanogan County Dispatch.
