Cases of COVID-19 continue to accumulate in local counties, but the rate at which they occur has decreased for some. Here are the latest data for COVID-19 in Grant, Okanogan, Lincoln, and Douglas (GOLD) counties.

Counties need an incident rate of 25 cases or fewer per population of 100,000 in the past 14 days to move forward a phase in the Washington Safe Start Recovery plan, and most  local counties are far from that goal.

As of Sept. 6:

As of Sept. 8, Grant County has: 2,497 total cases, including 16 deaths; seven cases in the Grand Coulee Dam area; and 453 cases in the past 14 days with an incident rate of 458.8 per 100,000 population, an increase of 1.8 since Aug. 30.

Okanogan County has: 1,004 total cases, including seven deaths; six cases in Coulee Dam; one in Elmer City; 12 in Nespelem; 81 cases in the past 14 days; and has an incident rate of 189.6  per 100,000 population, an increase of 27.5 since Sept. 1.

Lincoln County has: 34 total cases; one death; zero cases in the past 14 days; and has an incident rate of zero per 100,000 population, down from 36.5 Aug. 30. The county is meeting the goal of fewer than 25 cases in two weeks per 100,000.

Douglas County has: 1,164 total cases; eight deaths; 126 cases in the past 14 days; and has an incident rate of 294.3 per 100,000 population, a decrease of 79.4 since Aug. 30.  

Washington state as a whole has: 77,545 total cases; 1,953 deaths; 6,665 cases in the past 14 days; and has an incident rate of 88.3 per 100,000 population, a decrease of 9.4 since Aug. 30.
