Cedonia Wrenetta Williams

Cedonia Wrenetta Williams, 35, of Nespelem, Washington, passed away Monday afternoon January 13, 2020, in Wenatchee, Washington at Central Washington Hospital. Cedonia was born in Omak, Washington on Saturday, July 28, 1984, to Robert Guy Nanamkin and Flodell Williams. In 2002, Cedonia graduated from Lake Roosevelt High School in Coulee Dam, Washington, where she was on the track, basketball and football teams. Following high school, she attended Spokane Falls Community College.

A proud member of the Colville Confederated Tribes, Cedonia was a member of the Catholic Church and 7-Drums and worked for the Colville Confederated Tribes for many years as an accountant. She was crowned Miss Colville Confederated Tribes for 2002 and 2003, and had been a member of both the Nespelem Junior Rodeo and Nespelem Pow Wow Royalty.

Predeceased by her husband, Ryan W. Marchand (2015), father, Robert Guy Nanamkin; grandmother, Lorraine Williams and sister, Jolene Picard; Cedonia's legacy lives on through her mother, Flodell Williams; children: Aiyanna Marchand, Aaryn Marchand, Phenyx Marchand, Ryzen Marchand and Reniah Renion; siblings: Jody Picard, Danika Day (Damon), Koree Nanamkin, and Paladine Williams (Roxanne) and her beloved nephews and nieces: JaeJae Picard, Taloulah Day, Dixie-Lyn Day, Robbi Day, Geraldine Picard and Kylie-Ray Day.


Cedonia's dressing took place at 2 p.m., Wednesday, January 15, 2020, at Strate Funeral Home in Grand Coulee, Washington, followed that evening by her wake, which began at 7 p.m. in the Nespelem Community Center in Nespelem, Washington. Funeral services were held Thursday morning, January 16, at 10a.m., also at the Nespelem Community Center. Burial ceremonies followed at the Nez Perce Cemetery in Nespelem, Washington.
