Friends of the Lower Grand Coulee (FLGC) has partnered with the North Central Educational Foundation (NCEF) to provide a new classroom grant to local area school districts, providing funding for small, impactful educational programs that will further the knowledge, appreciation and enjoyment of the geology, culture, history and natural beauty of the Lower Grand Coulee.

Grants are available in amounts of $300 each and are available for teachers in Coulee-Hartline, Ephrata, Grand Coulee Dam, Moses Lake, Nespelem, Palisades, Quincy, Soap Lake and Wilson Creek school districts. Teachers are invited to apply in areas of Social Studies, Literacy, Music and Arts, STEM and STEAM that occur inside or outside of the classroom and are related to study of the Lower Grand Coulee.

North Central Education Foundation was formed in 2008 to support classroom learning by providing small but meaningful teacher grants to creative and innovative teachers in North Central Washington.

The deadline for the grant applications is Sept. 30. To apply, teachers must complete an application form that can be found on the NCEF website. For questions about the FLGC grant, as well as other grant sources, contact Eldene Wall at eldenew@ncesd.org or 509.668.6838.
