Grant County Mosquito District 2 to Meet

 The Grant County Mosquito District #2 will hold its monthly meeting at 5 p.m., Thursday, July 11, at 210 W. Coulee Blvd., in Electric City.

Lincoln County Fire Dist. 9 to Meet

Lincoln County Fire District 9 will hold its regular meeting at 6 p.m., Thursday, July 11, at the Nazarene Church in Grand Coulee.

Demos to Meet

For its July meeting Grant County Democrats will hold its annual summer potluck picnic on Tuesday, July 16, starting at 6:00 pm at Blue Heron Park (formerly “State Park”) along I-90 in Moses Lake. Participants are asked to bring an entrée, salad or dessert. The speaker will be Steve Verhey, a public-school teacher, chair of Kittitas County Democrats and Democrat candidate for Legislative District 13. Mr. Verhey is running against Republican Alex Ybarra, who was appointed to his position upon the resignation of Representative Matt Manweller. In addition, a straw vote will be taken for which of the 20 Democrats running for President is the best choice.

AA Meetings for Area

Confused in the Coulee AA meetings are held on Mondays and Fridays at 6 p.m. at the Vets Center in Electric City. Call Paul at 633-3377 days or 633-3345 evenings.

New Hope Group meetings are held Wednesdays at 6 p.m. at the Vets Center. These are open and non-smoking.

In Nespelem, the group Bound and Determined holds its meetings Monday evening at 7 p.m. at the Catholic Church. Contact Myrna at 634-4921 for more information.

TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) Chapter 1524 meets on Tuesdays at 9:15 a.m. at Grand Coulee Senior Center prior to the exercise group gathering at 10 a.m.
