Police

6/10 - Electric City Hall reported a bottle of drugs they found in their trash. Police took the bottle to the station for disposal.

- A woman evicted tenants from a house she owns on Dill Avenue. She said she had given them 30 days notice and had said she would be there on the 10th. She locked the door and wouldn’t let them gather the rest of their belongings, but told an officer she would put the items on the street for them to gather. The officer told her to make sure to go through the proper channels for eviction, and told her and those evicted that it was a civil matter.

6/13 - A woman said she felt unsafe at her Main Street apartment and that her neighbors say threatening things to her. An officer spoke to some men sitting outside who said they don’t like her because they think she does drugs. The officer told them not to talk to her and escorted her to her apartment.

6/14 - An officer stood by as tribal resources towed a boat that was in distress between Crescent Bay and Spring Canyon.

- A man says he is tired of his neighbor’s dog crapping in his yard on Continental. The dog owner said that there are a lot of feral cats crapping everywhere. The man agreed there are cats, but insisted the woman’s dog is breaking city code and will try to catch it on film.

6/15 - A man was banned from the golf course for allegedly being rude to golfers and staff. The man was said to be in a manic state, speaking incoherently.

- A dog that ran away because of noise from fireworks was captured by a man on Pendell Road and returned to its owner.

6/16 - A man who was banned from the golf course the day before was discharged from the emergency room at the hospital and was walking outside cursing. An officer gave him a ride to the smoke shop in Coulee Dam. Later that day, a girl said he slapped her with his wallet, knocking her glasses off. She will be seeking a restraining order, but didn’t wish to press charges. The man was said to be in a manic state, talking to himself.

- Police used their resources to track down the owner of a purse found outside of Coulee City and transferred the purse to a Grant County deputy to get the purse back to her. The woman, who was stranded in Vantage, was very grateful for the work of the police.

- A man and his girlfriend were yelling outside of their Roosevelt Drive address. He told the officer the fight was just verbal, apologized for fighting outside, and said that that’s just how they fight.

- Neighbors on Main Street continued to not get along. The woman told police that her neighbor keeps yelling at her. After repeated reports, an officer listened in from a distance to the man talking to a friend outside, and determined he wasn’t yelling or even talking about her. The woman’s open door is near where the neighbors were sitting. The officer told her to keep her door closed. The police report notes that the officer believes it to be nothing more than neighbors who don’t get along.

6/17 - An anonymous caller reported two upstairs neighbors being loud. One neighbor immediately turned down their music when an officer knocked, but wouldn’t answer the door. The other upstairs neighbor was asleep with a loud television and the officer couldn’t wake him from the window.
