The Lady Raiders are at the top of their league following three more softball wins last week.

In Pateros April 16, the Lady Raiders won 14-0 as Emma Marchand pitched 10 strikeouts for LR while only allowing one hit.

“The pitching was the difference in this game,” said Head Coach Jaci Gross. “Also, the girls had 10 hits and Pateros had one.”

Marchand was effective on offense as well, hitting three triples and batting in six runs.

The Lady Raiders beat the Lady Tigers twice in Tonasket Saturday in a doubleheader.

LR narrowly won the first game, 17-14.

“Patience and crucial hits by [Mikayla] Thompson, [Kelsie] Olbricht, and [Olivia] Ludwig sealed the win,” Gross said.

Olbricht hit three singles in the game and had four RBIs.

The Lady Raiders were walked 19 times in the game.

Marchand, pitching for LR, struck out four Tigers, walked six, and gave up 15 hits.

The second game went even better for the Lady Raiders, who won 24-12.

Cassidy Reyes pitched for LR, striking out five Tigers, walking three, and giving up 14 hits.

LR had 18 hits and 13 walks in the game, with Haley Neddo getting a hit at all four of her at-bats, Maddie Toulou getting three hits and four RBIs, and Olbricht batting in five runners off three hits in the game.

The Lady Raiders now boast a win-loss record of 7-1 in the Central Washington 2B league, 9-1 overall.

Also at the top of the league are Brewster (9-1, 10-3) and Tonasket (9-2, 10-4), both teams that LR has defeated.

Brewster is the only team to defeat LR this season, winning the first game of a doubleheader 15-11 earlier in the season, before LR won the second game 18-3.

The Lady Raiders hosted Waterville-Mansfield yesterday, the results of which will be reported next week.

The next game is scheduled for April 30, when LR will play in Waterville at 4:30 p.m.

LR is set to host Manson in a doubleheader May 2, starting at 3:30 p.m. in Grand Coulee.
