The Lady Raiders basketball team defeated Bridgeport and Soap Lake last week to go 3-0 for the season.

In Bridgeport Dec. 4, the Lady Raiders dominated the Fillies, 56-13.

"This was a good game that allowed us to work on things and give players minutes that they normally would not get," said Head Coach Peewee Pleasants.

Kelsie Olbricht led Lake Roosevelt with 10 points in the game.

The Lady Raiders had a remarkable 52 rebounds total.

The Lady Raiders traveled to Soap Lake Dec. 7, winning a close one 37-33.

"Soap Lake came out with great intensity and a good game plan that caught us off guard," Pleasants said. "The girls fought hard and stayed composed through the game, and it really helped us down the stretch. The defensive focus the team provided in the third quarter and fourth quarter gave the team an opportunity to capitalize in the second half. Olbricht's hot hand in the fourth quarter gave the team a boost to get us over the edge."

Olbricht again led the team with 15 points, pulling down 11 out of the total 36 rebounds for the night.

The Lady Raiders played last night at home against Oroville, results of which will be reported in next week's Star.

They'll play in Tonasket on Dec. 14 and in Okanogan on Dec. 18, starting at 6 p.m. on both days.
