10/16 - An officer assisted Colville Tribal Police in standing near while a patient with a history of violence and non-compliance whom they had brought in was treated at Coulee Medical Center.

- An Electric Blvd woman complained about a neighbor’s music. The officer asked the neighbor if he could turn down his music, which he did.

10/17 - A woman approached an officer saying she was wanted on a warrant and that she wanted to turn herself in. The officer didn’t find a warrant for her. She said it might be a tribal warrant. While the officer sat in the driver’s seat on the phone with tribal police, the woman got into the back seat of his patrol car. Tribal police confirmed the warrant and agreed to meet the Grand Coulee officer at the casino, where he took the woman.

- Approximately $685 was stolen from The Star newspaper when a thief pried open a door to the building, and pried open the safe. The company is no longer keeping cash in the building.

- A Ford Escape was stolen from a woman’s Weil Place driveway. A set of spare keys was missing from the house.

- A “drug kit” believed to contain heroin was found in a room at the Trailwest Motel where a woman was recently evicted. The kit was found while the room was being cleaned. A test will be performed on the suspected heroin, and If the woman’s prints are found on the kit, charges will be filed.

- A vehicle on Coulee Blvd. was reportedly disabled and blocking Electric City’s right of way. An officer tagged the vehicle with a notice of unauthorized vehicle on public property.

10/18 - A Burdin Blvd woman told an officer that her neighbor continues to act weird, walking around her house, and talking to himself or to her dog. The woman is in contact with her attorney, and takes notes on the incidents. She is looking into applying for an anti-harassment order.

- A complaint of a marijuana odor coming from an Electric Blvd home turned out to be referring to a man with a medical marijuana card who was following the regulations for growing and use of the plant. The officer left with no further action.

- A D Street woman reported that her dog had returned home bloodied and shot four times. There are no suspects, and neighbors didn’t hear any shots.

- A Roosevelt Drive man reported that a suspicious vehicle backed into a neighbor’s driveway and then drove off 15 minutes later. It turns out the car was there with the homeowner and his wife, unloading groceries into their back freezer.

10/19 - A house on Electric Boulevard turned down their loud music after a complaint from a neighbor.

- A woman pulled over on SR-155 was cited for driving without a license or insurance.

- An argument took place at the Union 76 gas station, where an employee was arguing with a customer over a scratch ticket the customer was trying to redeem. The employee scanned the ticket in front of an officer to show it was not a winner, and the customer took the receipt and left.

- A suspected burglary on Burdin Blvd. turned out to be people removing the last items left by a person who had moved from the residence. The officer was able to speak to the landlord, as well as the tenant over the phone, to confirm that the people had permission to remove the items.

- No one was able to confirm a report of female screaming heard from the area between Safeway and the hospital. The police report stated that it could have been related to a busload of high schoolers from Coulee City who were at the Union 76 gas station at the time of the report.

10/20 - An intoxicated man told police he was waiting for a ride from Coulee Gas to Nespelem from a friend. A tribal officer gave the man a courtesy ride.

- A woman was concerned about the well-being of her mother-in-law after not hearing from her for a while, and because she has medical needs. The mother-in-law was fine, but had trouble with her phone that day, as was a common problem in the area at that time.

- An erratically driven vehicle was reported driving northbound on SR-155 near Pole Park. The information was forwarded to the Coulee Dam Police Department.

- A theft was reported at Safeway in an incident that involved a female breaking two bottles of alcohol, then returning hours later with a second female, who stole a bottle while the first caused a scene. The unknown females left in an unidentified black sedan.

10/15 - An officer investigated a 911 hangup call coming from a Ferry Ave. home, where no one was home but a cat, according to the homeowner, who spoke with the officer over the phone, saying that everything was fine.

- An argument took place in the hallway at the River View apartments when one person told another he or she couldn’t smoke in the hallway. A lot of yelling took place. A second officer arrived, and the people calmed down. The officer’s report noted there seems to be an ongoing issue of animosity between the people involved.

10/16 - A driver was cited for going 44 mph on the bridge, where the speed limit is 30.

10/19 - Two high school students returned to their Birch St. home to find the door open. When the mother returned home from work, she couldn’t see anything missing. The police officer didn’t notice any signs of forced entry.
