The Lady Raiders won another volleyball game, this time against the Oroville Lady Hornets.

LR won the match in three sets with the scores 25-17, 25-19, and 25-14.

"We've been working hard on our passing this week, and there was a huge improvement that made the difference," said Head Coach Teri Sue Reed. "We are playing well as a team right now, and that's so important to me. Chemistry is everything!"

Reed said she was able to play every team member during the game.

"I would have to say that Ellie Hansen's serves dominated the night," Reed noted. "She had 12 aces."

The Lady Raiders' win-loss record is 7-1 overall, 3-0 in the league. Brewster and Manson are also undefeated in the league at 4-0 each, with Manson at 9-2 overall, and Brewster at 8-2 overall.

The Lady Raiders played yesterday against Manson, results of which will be reported in next week's Star.

LR will host Brewster at home in Coulee Dam on Thursday, Oct. 11, with the JV team scheduled to start at 5:30 p.m.

LR then plays at the Ephrata Invitational tournament at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 13.

Next Tuesday, Oct. 16, they play on the road against Waterville/Mansfield with JV scheduled to start at 5:30 p.m.
