Lake Roosevelt lost a couple soccer games last week, one in Omak, and one at home against Liberty Bell.

The Lady Raiders played in Omak Sept. 25, losing 3-1.

"LR came out strong, starting the game with the first score," said Head Coach Casey Moore. "Bryn Chaffee assisted Maddie Toulou, who pushed through Omak's defense to score in the first half."

"Despite great runs, LR didn't score in the second half," Moore continued. "Omak scored three points to win the game."

"In her first attempt as goalie, Laelah Pakootas successfully blocked 13 shots," Moore noted. "Martiza Martinez-Matt played really well at midfield. The team played a great trapping and passing game."

On Sept. 27 in Grand Coulee, LR lost 7-1 against the undefeated Liberty Bell team with a 5-0 win-loss record. Lake Roosevelt sits at fifth in the league at 2-4.

The Lady Raiders played yesterday in Grand Coulee against Bridgeport, results of which will be reported next week.

They play in Manson Thursday, Oct. 4 at 4:30 p.m., and again at home Tuesday Oct. 9 at 4:30 p.m. against Brewster.
