I believe the public who have children who have been going to the Grand Coulee Dam School have the right to know of things that have been done within the new school.

1. A reasonable stack of papers was given to Rich Black on the school board. Information on bathroom problems, turned into the principal of elementary, maintenance supervisor of custodians and even former superintendent. Included were changes suggested concerning summer school. Also, things needing to be done with school. Also, things of concern: Did this school board member share this stack of information with the school board? I shared with school Chairman Joette Barry that I gave Mr. Black information on school and suggested she talk to him. Did this ever get done and the information shared with school board?

2. I gave a list of 30 ideas to Joette Barry to suggest possible ways of correcting the bathroom problems of school She said she would share this with present superintendent. Did this get shared with the school board? The present superintendent was supposed to meet with me on bathroom problems in summer of 2017, and never met with me. Was school board aware of this?

3. Back in January of 2017 was an article in the paper of public input on the school. I mailed superintendent a list of 40 things that needed to be looked at. Did he share this with school board?

4. If things of concern are shared with school board, why are we not seeing results? If all the things mentioned here were not shared, there is a lack of communication within the school board and the public needs to call the school board people on this.

5. Let me not forget the list of things that concerned the preschool to the old middle school that I gave Mrs. Barry to look into; did she share this with the school board? Where is the communication at when things need to be done and especially shared with? Maybe there needs to be a change in getting things done. It might be cleaning house and getting new people. People on the school board and in the district office. Take a stand at every district meeting at the end of the month and see what’s been done this past year on the policy issues, bathrooms, discipline, how teachers and para-pros are feeling, cracks in school floor, leaky roof in gym, teachers and kids leaving school, principals and vice principals doing their jobs, the list goes on and one. The taxpayers need to take a stand. The school board works for the people. You put them in the position, you can also do what it needs to replace them.

Anything said in this letter is the truth, as it is well documented.
