Chamber to Meet

 The Grand Coulee Dam Area Chamber of Commerce will meet at La Presa Mexican Restaurant in Grand Coulee at noon this Thursday, February 8.

Coulee Creators Meet on Tuesdays

Coulee Creators meet at 412 Federal Ave. Room 207, Grand Coulee. Contact Marlene Oddie at KISSed Quilts or 509-386-5715 for further details. Hours are normally Tuesdays 1-4 p.m.

American Legion to Meet

The American Legion Post 157 next meeting will be at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, February 13, at the Vets Center in Electric City.

Icicle Creek Glaciers Meeting

Wenatchee Valley Erratics Chapter of the Ice Age Floods Institute will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, February 13, at the Wenatchee Valley Museum, 127 South Mission, Wenatchee. Kelsay Stanton, WVC adjunct instructor and licensed professional geologist, will talk about work she’s done in the Leavenworth area with USGS geologist Richard Waitt, using information collected by Long, and describe how it fits into the regional glacial and glacial outburst flood story.

Historical Society to Meet

The Grant County Historical Society will hold its annual meeting Tuesday, Feb. 13, at the Ephrata American Legion Post at 276 8th Ave NW. The board meeting is at 11 a.m., lunch is served at noon, and the Heritage meeting will begin at 12:30 p.m. Lunch will be served by the American Legion staff for $7.50.

Speaker this month is Harold Hochstatter from Moses Lake, talking about his family and early days in Neppel/Moses Lake.

Members are invited to attend. If you plan to attend and have lunch, please call Stephanie at 509-398-5186 to make lunch reservations.
