Raider boys come up just short

The Raiders came up just shy of victory in Oroville last week, and a home game had to be rescheduled due to snow.

On Jan. 9 in Oroville, the Raiders lost by just one point to the Hornets, 44-43.

“It was a frustrating game, one we knew we should have won,” said Head Coach Jeremy Crollard. “We had so many opportunities that we missed. We just couldn’t stop their big guy, who had 20-25 rebounds. We drew up a play with 10 seconds left and ended up having a wide open layup with three seconds left and missed it. We have to move forward from here. Hopefully our best ball is in front us.”

A home game against Brewster scheduled for Jan. 11 was canceled due to snow, and rescheduled for Jan. 29.

The Raiders played in Liberty Bell yesterday, results of which will be printed in next week’s Star.

The next home game is on Friday, Jan 19, when the Raiders will host the Okanogan Bulldogs in a non-league game that starts at 7:30 p.m.
