Officials gather around a new bronze plaque presented at a Coulee Dam City Council meeting Wednesday night to be hung on the new wastewater treatment plant when it's complete. From left are Travis Denham, Varela & Associates; Rick Rose and Dave Dunnell, both of USDA Rural Development; Mayor Greg Wilder; Daniel Cowger, Varela & Associates; and Kurt Holland, Varela & Associates. Wilder emphasized that the Rural Development lending agency deserved credit for its helpful approach to financing small-town projects. The plaque reads: "City of Coulee Dam Wastewater Treatment Plant Project/ Mayor: F. Gregory Wilder/ City Council: Benjamin Alling, Duane Johnson, David Schmidt, Keith St. Jeor and Gayle Swagerty/ City Clerk: Stefani Bowden/ Public Works Superintendent: Mike Steffends/ Project Financing: USDA-Rural Development/ Engineers: Varela & Associates, Inc./ General Contractor: McClure & Sons, Inc./ The Wastewater Treatment Plant Project is dedicated to the citiezins of Coulee Dam. this project was completed through the efforts of the above individuals and organizations. - 2017.
