Times change, and they always will. I can remember when county commissioners only met on Mondays to take care of all the business that had to be done. Now, because of so many laws and regulations, a county commissioner has a full-time job. A lot of decisions have to be made, and the public isn’t always aware of all the reasons. There are just too many for us to be able to keep up.

Sheilah Kennedy has the ability to assess problems and make the right decisions better than anyone I know. Things have changed in Okanogan County but it is still a special place to live. Joel Kretz, Shelly Short, Brian Dansel and Cary Condotta have all endorsed Sheilah Kennedy. They represent many county commissioners in their legislative districts. We should respect their opinion.

Now outside interests are supporting Chris Branch, providing him with out-of-county funding. Their goal is to forever change our special way of life by controlling the use of our natural resources and the economy in our county.

It is very important that Sheilah Kennedy be re-elected to make proper decisions that will protect the custom and culture of this great valley.
