Annie Ford sings a Woody Guthrie song at the Woody Guthrie Day event Saturday at the Grand Coulee Dam Visitor Center park, where a dozen singers and a half dozen speakers paid tribute to one of the fathers of modern folk music. The event was arranged as a promotion for "26 Songs in 30 Days: Woody Guthrie's Columbia River Songs and the Planned Promised Land in the Pacific Northwest," a book by Greg Vandy and Daniel Person on Guthrie's contract with the Bonneville Power Administration during the Great Depression. - Scott Hunter photo
