Free tax preparation is still being offered at the Grand Coulee Senior Center. Volunteers trained in cooperation with IRS and AARP are available every Tuesday now through April 12, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. This service is available to anyone with low or middle income. You do not have to be seniors or members of the senior center to take advantage of this free help. However, special attention is given to those 60 and older.

Taxpayers need to bring: A copy of last year’s tax return and social security cards, or other official documentation showing social security numbers, for themselves and all dependents. Also, bring proof of salary, interest, pensions, social security or any other sources of income.

You must show that everyone on your tax return has minimum essential health insurance. Bring information about the coverage source and months of coverage for each person. If your health care was through the Affordable Care Act, bring Form 1095-A.

For a faster refund, bring a sample check so your refund can be direct deposited to your bank account.
