named

Grant PUD Commissioners announced the appointment of former Chief Financial Officer Kevin Nordt as the new general manager, effective June 3.

The appointment follows a succession plan submitted by former General Manager Tony Webb in January. Webb will continue with the utility in a senior leadership capacity and assist with the transition over the coming months, a PUD press release states.

Nordt served as the CFO, and was the director of power management at Grant PUD. He has a bachelor of science degree in mathematical physics from St. John’s University, a master of science degree in nuclear engineering and engineering physics from the University of Wisconsin, and additional graduate work in computational finance at Oregon Graduate Institute. Prior to working at Grant PUD he worked with regional utilities including Portland General Electric and Energy Northwest.
