Sean Garvin, Jocelyn Moore, and Kayley Duclos were all named to the Central Washington 2B North All League Volleyball Squads last week. Garvin was named to the first team by the league’s coaches, while Moore and Duclos earned an honorable mention.

“All three girls that were nominated for all-league were consistently my stat leaders throughout the season,” Head Coach Kasey Garvin said.

“I’m proud that (Sean) received a first-team honor again this year,” Coach Garvin said. “She puts in a lot of time in the off-season, and the league coaches rewarded her with a high honor for the season.”

Sean Garvin was one of the team leaders in kills, which is odd for her position, the coach said. “That’s not a category you want your setter, who is running a 5-1 offense, to have high stats in, but it worked,” she said.

“Jocelyn Moore led the team in kills and blocks and managed an 89-percent serving percentage for the season,” Coach Garvin noted. “Kayley was great in the back row, serve receive, and at the serving line.”

Coach Garvin is sad to see two of her all-leaguers (Moore and Duclos) leaving due to of graduation.

The coach also mentioned two other players who deserved highlighting for their performance this season. “Both Aiyanna Picard and Areielle White contributed many great things to the team, as well,” Garvin said.

Garvin hopes to build on the successes the Lady Raiders had this season and develop the program into a perennial competitor.
