Raiders win one of four over spring break

The Raiders played four baseball games over spring break, winning one against the Colton Wildcats.

They hosted the Brewster Bears for a doubleheader at Greene Field April 7, then Big Bend Community College April 9, “hosted” Colton in a doubleheader.

“We did improve but we have a ways to go,” Head Coach Billy Nicholson said. “We are having better at-bats and we are playing better defense, but we need to keep improving and have an error-free game.”

Looking ahead at the rest of the season, Coach Nicholson pointed out, “We need to learn from playing good teams and continue to improve.”

Tomorrow the Raiders return to Greene Field to take on the Manson Trojans in a single game starting at 4 p.m. LR defeated the Trojans 13-3 on March 26, but then Manson went on a three-game win streak before being swept by the Pateros Billygoats in a doubleheader by the combined score of 18-2.
