Chamber To Meet

The Grand Coulee Dam Area Chamber of Commerce will meet at the Melody Restaurant in Coulee Dam on Thursday, April 9, at noon. Guest speakers will be Teresa Boyer and Deb Dzuck from the WSU Foundation. They will be talking about Estate Planning.

CMC Guild to Meet

Coulee Medical Center Guild will hold its meeting Monday, April 13, at noon at the hospital. Come early for lunch. Memberhsip dues are only $5. Please join us. Guild meetings are the second Monday of the month.

Food Bank

The food bank at the Church of the Nazarene normal operating hours are every Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. It is located at the Church of Nazarene, hwy 174, Grand Coulee. The bank still can use clean plastic grocery bags.

Open Sewing

at Senior Art Room

Local AA Meetings

Confused in the Coulee AA meetings are held on Mondays at 7 p.m., Friday at 6 p.m. and Sunday at 9 a.m.. at the Vets Center in Electric City. Call Paul 633-3377 days or 633-3345 evenings. New Hope Group meetings are held Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Vets Center. For more information call Sue 509.631.0861. These are open and non-smoking.

In Nespelem the group Bound and Determined holds its meetings Monday evening at 7 p.m. at the Catholic Church. Contact Myrna 634-4921 for more information there.

American Legion

Post 157 Meets

The American Legion Post 157 holds legion meetings on the second Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. at the Vets’ Center in Electric City. All veterans are welcome. The next meeting will be held Tuesday, April 14. For more information contact Jerry at 633-2579.

TOPS Meetings

TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) Chapter 1524 meets on Tuesdays at 9:15 a.m. at Grand Coulee Senior Center prior to the exercise group gathering at 10 a.m. Come and join for the health of it. Due to popular demand the Chapter TOPS #WA1554 will be meeting Wednesdays with weigh-in from 5 to 5:30 p.m., and the meeting from 5:30 to 6:30, prior to the SAIL exercise class which starts at 6:30. SAIL (Stay Active and Independent for Life) exercise classes meet at the Coulee Dam Community Church, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.  SAIL is a strength, balance and fitness class for adults 65 plus.  Classes are free.  For more information, contact Gina Brueske 633-0255 or Vivian Dugan 633-2164.

Family History Center Available

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints invites all who desire to utilize the Family History Center in the Coulee Dam Chapel, located at 806 Spruce Street in Coulee Dam. The center is now open each Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. The family history centers are free and open the public and staffed by knowledgeable volunteers. Each facility offers both novices and experienced family historians the tools and resources to learn about their ancestors.
