A Keller man was arrested last Wednesday at a Burdin Boulevard residence for being in possession of a stolen vehicle.

Henry Alexander Palmer, 43, was arrested and taken to Grant County Jail on an outstanding warrant for driving while his license was suspended and for having a stolen vehicle in his possession.

Palmer told police he had bought the pickup from a third party.

Police saw the black 1999 Toyota pickup in the alley behind Burdin Boulevard and A Street, partially blocking the alley about 8:30 p.m. When they checked the registration, police learned that it had been stolen out of Omak and that it should have had a canopy and boat with it. Neither was in the alley.

Police checked the closest residence, at 306 Burdin Boulevard, and were told that a man had dropped the vehicle off so that a woman resident, Troyce Louise Rutledge, 58, could use it to come see him in Omak.

But when officers told Rutledge that she was under arrest for being in possession of a stolen vehicle, she told police that Palmer was inside the trailer, and that he had brought the pickup.

Officers entered the trailer and arrested Palmer.

The vehicle was stolen from Dale Cate, who told police that his truck, boat and canopy were stolen last Labor Day while he was fishing near Brewster and that it had been painted white. The vehicle was returned to him.
