No vaping

in public

The Grant County Electronic Cigarette and Vaping Ordinance went into effect Jan. 1.

The ordinance restricts the sale, marketing, use and availability of electronic vapor devices and e-liquid.

In September, the Grant County Health District board unanimously adopted the new ordinance.

You now must be 18 or older to buy the devices or the e-liquid, with or without nicotine, in Grant County. And even if you’re old enough, you can’t use them in public places where cigarrettes are prohibited, except in “vape” shops.

Quilting for a cause

The World Relief Quilting group from Zion Lutheran Church was scheduled to meet at the church at 10 a.m. today. The quilting group will meet at this time every Wednesday during January and February.
