Kayley Duclos puts one over the net against Okanogan at home Tuesday night to score for Lake Roosevelt.

Lady Raider Volleyball will play a tiebreaker match to settle the matter of who is the number-five team in the North tomorrow at Pateros High School.

LR will be playing Liberty Bell, who finished with the same league record as the Raiders (5-9) and split the regular season series with LR. The winner goes to the District 5/6 tournament at Ephrata High School on Saturday for a single-elimination match at 10 a.m.

The Lady Raiders set this tiebreaker in motion by defeating the Tonasket Tigers at Coulee Dam Oct. 21 in a straight set.

The win was revenge for a 3-1 loss to the Tigers in Tonasket Sept. 25. For LR, this was the third win in four matches. During the same stretch, Liberty Bell lost four in a row.

LR then travelled to take on the number-two in the North, the Brewster Bears.

In the first game of the match, Brewster took an early lead and held on to it to win 25-10. LR came back in the second game.

For much of the match the squads played neck and neck, exchanging points. At the end, LR pulled ahead to gain a 25-20 win.

In the third game, both Brewster and LR committed many mistakes, trading easy points with one another. The game was a seesaw until the very end when this time Brewster pulled ahead and won 25-23.

LR did not let up or give up as they came back in the fourth game, which looked as though it would lead to a fifth. Brewster had other plans, and put together a rally to take the lead and finally the match. The final score in the fourth game was Brewster 25, LR 20.

Last night was Senior Night for LR as they took on the Okanogan Bulldogs to close the regular season. The Lady Raiders lost the match in three games, 18-25, 14-25 and 18-25.

Tomorrow's tiebreaker match at Pateros High School starts at 6 p.m. Liberty Bell lost its fifth in a row Oct. 23 at Okanogan in a straight set. Liberty Bell has not played since Oct. 23.
