Boat among prizes in weekend tourney

Time to dust off your fishing equipment and clean out your tackle box for the 2nd Annual Chamber of Commerce Triple Fish Challenge, April 26, 27, at Coulee Playland Resort on Banks Lake.

Fish for trout, bass and walleye, and if you have good luck for two days you could win the grand prize of a 4-person Achilles inflatable boat and Yamaha outboard motor.

Prizes go to the big fish in each species each day, total stringer weight each day, and total combined heaviest six fish for the two days.

Two classes are featured: Class 1, juniors up to 14 years of age, and Class 2 adults, 15 years and up. Registration fee for juniors is $20 and $60 for adult class.

Fishing action begins each day at 9 a.m. and the weigh-in has been set both days at 3 p.m.

Online registration is available and will continue until midnight, Thursday, April 24 at http://www.grandcouleedam.org/fishingtournaments.html.

On-site registration will begin Friday, April 25, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and continue during boat inspection Saturday, from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m.

The drivers meeting has been set for Saturday at 8 a.m. and awards will be made one hour following the final weigh-in.
