It was an up-and-down week for the Lady Raiders, who lost last Tuesday, then improved to win on Thursday.

At Soap Lake, the Lady Raiders came back from a first-game loss to win the next two. But the Eagles came back and won the match 3 games to 2.

Lady Raiders Head Coach Nate Piturachsatit said he was impressed with the way the girls stayed with the game and did not give up.

In Thursday’s home match against the Mountain Lions of Liberty Bell, the Lady Raiders put together a complete game to win the match 3-2.

Liberty Bell put up a tough fight and did force the Lady Raiders to make a decision: roll over, or push through and win. This time the Lady Raiders pushed through and won, applying what Piturachsatit has been teaching.

The Lady Raiders look to continue improving and pushing through for the win this week, which will be their busiest of the season. Last night LR travelled to Oroville for a 5 p.m. match. Thursday, they will play the Fillies of Bridgeport at home, with C-squad starting at 4:30 p.m. Finally, to cap the week, the Lady Raiders head to Entiat to play the Tigers in a North Central League match on Saturday starting at 11 a.m.
