Work has started on Electric City’s arsenic water treatment plant. Here operators use heavy equipment to prepare the site for a large steel building that will house treatment equipment. The $1.3 million project, successfully bid by Clearwater Construction, is scheduled for completion in 120 days. The project, when finished, will bring Electric City’s water into compliance with federal water standards. — Roger S. Lucas photo
