Rosemary Evelyn Evers nee Lessard was born on December 8, 1926, in Oak Park, Ill., to a family of 11 children. After graduating from Harper High School in Chicago, Rosemary worked in the accounting department of the Wrigley Chewing Gum factory where she met her future husband, Arlow Evers. Their first date began a long love of square dancing, which continued as long as their health allowed. They were married on November 13, 1948, and in 1950 moved back to Arlow’s roots in Eastern Washington.

They came with their first born son, Arlow Thomas (Tom), and soon four more children followed: Ronald, Timothy, Edwin and Rebecca. They built a home in Electric City in 1960 where both were blessed to remain until their deaths. Church, gardening, baking, sewing, children, and eventually grandchildren filled their lives.

Rosemary was especially a lover of quilting and was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.

On Monday, Jan. 16, she suffered a massive stroke and died in Coulee Medical Center on Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2012.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 2006 and is survived by their five children, 13 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren and one sibling. Services were held on January 27 at Zion Lutheran Church where she was a longtime member.
