A notice went out this week seeking sealed bids for the purchase of Center School in Grand Coulee. The elementary school was declared surplus after students there were transferred to the new school in Coulee Dam. The school board had advertised for bids on the school earlier, but at the time no one was interested in bidding. Lake Roosevelt Junior/Senior High School announced its students of the month for October. The Lake Roosevelt Raiders defeated the DeSales Irish in an incredible comeback victory Friday to move on to the first round of state playoffs. The victory in Coulee Dam marks the first time the Raiders have gone on to state since 2001. The now 7-2 Raiders will face the 9-1 Northwest Christian Crusaders this Friday in Spokane. Grand Coulee Police 10/30 - An official at the Moose Lodge reported that someone had stolen gas from his truck by puncturing a hole in the tank. - A couple were cited for taking a bottle of whiskey from Safeway and not paying for it.
