12/20 - A woman reported losing her wallet at Safeway. She believes she dropped it while there. A Safeway employee said they would check the security cameras.

12/21 - Police went to the boat launch at Osborn Bay to see if someone in a car was alive. The person was just sleeping.

- Police responded to a vehicle accident on Alcan Road on a snowy night when a red pickup appeared to have left the road, hit a rock enclosure and a tree, flipped onto the passenger side, and struck a house. Police spoke to the homeowners who said that a man and woman had left the scene of the crash. The truck was towed. The registered owner lives in Wenatchee and has a second residence in Delano where he stays while working at the dam. The man contacted police the next day, and police helped him exchange information with the homeowners, with the man saying he would pay for the damage. He is being charged with a “wheels off roadway” violation.

12/22 - An Electric Boulevard man reported getting phone calls over months at all hours of the night with the person calling asking to speak to a woman, then hanging up. He believes it may be related to a situation with a woman to whom he sold a car with which she was unhappy. Police suggested he block the number that is calling him.

- A driver travelling south on SR-155 near milepost 24 had a mechanical issue when his tire came off, rolling down the road toward oncoming traffic and hitting a woman’s car, causing some fender damage. No one was injured in the accident. Police told the woman to provide the case number to her insurance company.

12/23 - Police did not observe a “window repair van” pass their location above the Grand Coulee Dam. The van was reported to be driving erratically.

- Police went to a motel on Spokane Way where a man and woman were reported to be fighting. They had taken off on foot, and police were unable to find them. Another woman was intoxicated in one of the rooms and explained that she had fought with a woman because she didn’t want to leave the man. Police observed a broken pipe, a toilet seat ripped off, and a broken chair amongst the damage to the room. The woman had a puncture wound to her hand but refused medical service. No charges were filed at the time of the report.

- Police spoke to a man who said he believed friends had stolen his wallet and that he had threatened them about it. Police then spoke to a woman who showed police threatening text messages from the man. The jail was unable to book the man. The woman said she just wanted the incident documented.

- A man’s boat trailer was hit in the Safeway parking lot. Security footage showed a silver-colored sedan hit the trailer, damaging a taillight and license plate. The mirror broke off the sedan. Police spoke to a NAPA employee and a mechanic who both said it appeared to be from an early 2000s Saturn Ion. A 2006 Saturn Ion was found registered to someone on Grand Coulee Avenue. Police went there and saw it missing a mirror. They spoke to the owner, who said he was unaware of the incident, and police helped exchange information between him and the boat trailer owner so they could handle the situation in a civil manner.

12/23 - Two gunshots were reportedly heard in the Butler Square and Roosevelt Drive area. Police didn’t observe any suspicious people or activity there.

Coulee Dam Police

12/23 - Police spoke to a Fir Street dog owner about bringing a barking dog inside following a noise complaint.

- Police responded to an alarm at a Central Drive residence set off from motion in a bedroom. Police then saw the landlord who said everything was fine, and that a robot vacuum was operating inside the residence.
