Judy Kurth, 74, passed away on April 13, 2021 in Grand Coulee, Washington. She was born October 31, 1946 in Spokane, WA to Gene and Dorothy Goodell. As a child, Judy loved her Halloween birthday.
Judy attended school in the Mead School District from third grade through grade 12. She married in the fall of 1965 and had two children, Terry and Barbara Moore. The family moved to Seattle in 1969. After divorce, Judy then married Les Huber who passed away in 1989 after 13 years of marriage. With this marriage, she acquired two stepchildren. She married Don Kurth in 1992 and was the stepmother to his three children, Aaron, Johnathan and Katie Jo. She always said Don was the best husband yet! The couple traveled to many countries with his employment. Both loved the Lord and worked for Him through Bible Study Fellowship and Community Bible Study. They waterskied often before work and snow skied. Judy's favorite destination was Hawaii.
The best move they made was to Grand Coulee in 2017 after Don's retirement. It gave them a whole new avenue of friends, church and activities.
Judy will be remembered for her love for Jesus, her sense of humor and encouraging spirit, spunkiness, and enjoyment of life. She was a great story teller, talented artist and writer, card maker, quilter, avid reader, excellent cook and a loving and supportive wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband Don, her two children, Terry and Barbara Moore, 4 step children, a sister Donna Elliott, two brothers, Richard (Dick) Goodell, and Greg Goodell. Judy loved her 11 grandchildren and spent lots of time with them.
Judy's funeral service will be at Spring Canyon Cemetery just outside of Grand Coulee on Saturday, May 22nd at 2:00 PM. Following the graveside service all are invited to a gathering with a light luncheon at the Grand Coulee Community Church, 405 Center, Grand Coulee, WA.
