Grand Coulee Police

3/16 - A man on Bay Area Drive reported that a dark colored pickup was parked in his driveway. He confronted the driver who said he had been drinking.  A Grant County Sheriff’s deputy and a Grand Coulee officer responded. By the time they arrived, the pickup had left. Both officers were both unable to find the suspect vehicle.

3/17 - A man claimed that a man at a business was falsely claiming to be a veteran and wanted him charged with fraud/stolen valor. Police were unable to find anything related on the business website, as was claimed by the man, and told him it needed to be reported to federal officers and the military. The man said local police needed to be involved too. Police told him they would look into the matter more.

- People living at SunBanks Resort were reported as taking tools and hiding them in their residence but placing them back outside when confronted. The owners are in the process of evicting them, they said.

3/18 - Following a complaint, a man on Burdin Boulevard was warned about securing his dog.

- Police responded to a report of a woman panhandling and bothering customers near the post office in Electric City. Workers at the post office said the woman had been hanging around but wasn’t being too bothersome. The woman was warned to stay out of the street. She said she would and said she hadn’t been panhandling.

3/19 - An Electric City woman spoke to police about an incident that appears to have already been resolved in which, after filing her taxes, her Social Security number was “pinged” as having already been used to file taxes. The woman didn’t lose any money and wasn’t in danger of such. It is unknown if her number was used intentionally, or if someone had mistyped their Social Security number when filing their own taxes.

Coulee Dam Police

3/16 - Police checked on a woman’s parents on River Drive who are in their 90s. They were fine, and police told them to call their daughter.

3/18 - A man on Holly Street showed police footage of a man with a hoodie and a mask looking in his vehicle parked on the street at 3:45 a.m., then walking off. The man could not be identified.
