Noel Hans Gunderson

Noel Hans Gunderson, 77, of Electric City, Washington, passed away Tuesday morning, November 2, 2020. Noel was born Christmas day, Friday, December 25, 1942, in Hannah, North Dakota to Hans and Beatrice Gunderson. The great event in Noel's life occurred on a Saturday, December 9, 1961, just 16 days before his 19th birthday, when he married Miss Edna Owens, at the "Hitch'n Post Wedding Chapel" in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. A proud member of IUOE Local 302 for 50 years, Noel was a master of his position as "Tower Crane Operator." A member of both the Eagles and Moose Lodges in Grand Coulee, Noel enjoyed Classic Country Music and spending time fishing. His greatest joy though was time spent with Edna and their family, whom he loved without reservation.

Predeceased by his grandson: Jesse Sebade and Noel's six siblings, Noel's legacy lives on through his loving wife and constant companion of 58 years, Edna Gunderson; children: Joe Gunderson, Lori Gunderson (Cory) and Darryl Gunderson; and grandchildren: Cory Koontz, Dalton Gunderson and Steven Awterey.


A family Celebration of Noel's Life is scheduled. His urn will be buried next to his grandson -Jesse in Fall City Cemetery, Fall City, Washington.

Strate Funeral Home of Grand Coulee, Washington is assisting the family with services.
