Not a good decision on parks

I listened in on the meeting last night. I was appalled by their decision. You have committees to do research and send recommendations to the City, which generally are accepted. I cannot believe that the Boys would rather spend approximately $9,000 a year to do approximately $3,000 of maintenance for a park is not in best interest of the City, especially when there is $22,000 in the Park Budget, so that figures out to be seven years at estimated costs.

This is not a Russ Powers Park, the Park generated from a Survey off of Survey Monkey the Park was number one Pathway North Dam to Basically Hillcrest was number two for walkers and tourist safety walking to Grand Coulee. This all transpired seven years ago, not a Russ dream, the People’s Dream.

I will make a decision within next few weeks if going to stay on the Committee or not; tired of doing a lot of work for nothing and being lied to and having no trust in Committee by City Council. Where is the City going to find One Hundred Plus Thousand dollars to pay back Motel Hotel and RCO? Not good decision.

Now for my next agenda item Last nights meeting and the other SPECIAL meeting that was previously conducted are both Null and Void. All actions taken are Null and Void. Washington state has a full section in the Revised Code Washington that deals with the Governing on Cities, Towns etc. Good reading on MRSC. The City has not been in compliance with RCW 42.30.080 Special Meetings Thus making all Actions Void! You in failure to comply with requirements set forth in this RCW. Which violated Open Meetings. Take Note #2 section (a) Not done General Public had no information of this open Public meeting by either Zoom or In Person to allow comments. Especially the Parks committee.
