Star is closed except by appointment

Effective Monday, March 16, The Star is closed except by appointment in keeping with official requests to limit social interaction to address the coronovirus outbreak.

Our office doesn’t have to be open to the public for most of our services; we can work from home for much of our work, as advised by health leaders.

Those subscribers who have been picking the paper up at our office will receive them in the mail until further notice.

Those who must access a public fax/copy service can call 509-633-1350 for an appointment if absolutely necessary, or you can email documents for printing to star@grandcoulee.com with your contact information. If design and fonts are critical, you’ll want to convert them to PDF format.

Community information, press releases and inquiries can be emailed to star@grandcoulee.com. And editor Scott Hunter is still available by phone at the same number.

As always, classified and display advertising orders and inquiries can be made via email to star@grandcoulee.com. And classified ads can be submitted 24/7 at https://www.grandcoulee.com/classifieds.

If you are a print subscriber wondering how to access the whole paper online, instructions are here: https://www.grandcoulee.com/page/to-read-the-star-online-do-this/11823.html

Thanks for your patience. This, too, shall pass, but it will pass more quickly if we all do all we can to slow the spread of the pandemic:

- Keep your distance if you must be in public. Maintain about 6 feet between you.

- Wash your hands often in soap and water. Where soap and water is not available, use alcohol-based hand sanitizer (if you can find it).

- Don’t gather in groups if you can avoid it at all. Meet by phone or online if you can.
