A group of intrepid individuals celebrated New Year's Day in the cold waters of Lake Roosevelt at Spring Canyon at noon. A dozen braved the water in polar plunge that lasted just seconds but generated a lot of shivering excitement. A few went all the way under, like Terry Owen, whose face upon surfacing says it all.
