Grand Coulee

10/29 - A woman reported that rims and tires on a pickup truck on Coulee Boulevard were ones stolen from her in September. The owner of the truck said he had bought them for $50 from someone, and agreed to give them to the woman. The man he said he bought them from denied any involvement.

- A woman was arrested and taken to Grant County Jail following an incident in which she allegedly threw a vacuum cleaner at a man, and a toy at his car.

10/29 - A Grand Coulee woman reported that another Grand Coulee woman, who was watching her dog, wouldn’t give it back. The other woman said that the dog had been given to her. Neither produced proof of ownership of the dog. The case was considered civil, not criminal.

10/30 - A driver police pulled over near Coulee Playland on SR-155 for swerving around the driving lane was cited with DUI.

11/2 - An officer conducted traffic at milepost 18 along SR-174, where a one-car rollover crash was blocking a lane of travel. Washington State Patrol had requested assistance.

11/3 - A patient at the hospital reported being robbed at a rest stop outside of Yakima along I-90. A sheriff’s deputy from Kittitas County requested details of the crime. The Grand Coulee officer collected and forwarded those details, including that the woman had stopped at a rest area between 10 and 11 p.m. when two white men in their 20s had grabbed her, taken her purse off her shoulder and run off before she drove away. The purse contained medications, some rings, and about $150 cash.

- Police told a man he needed to move his blue travel trailer out of the alleyway between Coulee Boulevard and Grand Avenue.

- An elderly woman was reported to have passed out in a van in the area of SR-174 and Granger, and was unresponsive to the reporting party knocking on the window. No such vehicle nor woman was located upon police arrival.

11/4 - A pitbull on Dill Avenue was brought inside a residence after police told someone there of a complaint about the animal barking.

Coulee Dam

10/29 - A driver was stopped near the top of the dam hill for going 40 miles per hour in a 30 mph zone. The driver, who denied speeding, eventually gave an officer his suspended North Carolina driver’s license. He was cited for speeding and for the suspended license. He was allowed to drive to his home in Grand Coulee, followed by an officer, and told not to drive anymore with the suspended license.
