The Lady Raiders soccer team broke even with Omak and lost to Liberty Bell last week, both games played with nine players per team.

Lake Roosevelt hosted the Omak Pioneers Oct. 1, ending in a 3-3 tie.

Maddie Toulou scored two for the Lady Raiders and Bryn Chaffee scored one in the game.

"Kyona Edmo played a great game in the goal; she had 10 saves," said Consultant/Trainer Randy Semanko.

The Lady Raiders hosted the Liberty Bell Lady Mountain Lions Oct. 3, losing with a 4-1 final score.

Chaffee scored the Raider goal from a free kick.

Edmo had 11 saves in the game.

Head Coach Micah Esmond explained that in both games the Lady Raiders played without rest, except for halftime, while the opposing teams were able to substitute players in and out of the games.

"Life will get better soon as we have two more players that will be back soon," Semanko added. "Omak and Liberty Bell had fast players that were able to pass and control the tempo of the match," Esmond said. "The girls continue on through injuries, and never gave up on fighting for a good result. We have learned from each match and are working towards addressing it all in the matches this week."

"We are very proud of how our girls are playing, learning, and fighting in every game we have played," Semanko said, adding that having club soccer in the area would give the players experience to help the high school team go further.

An away game in Bridgeport was scheduled for Oct. 8, results of which will be reported in next week's Star.

On Thursday, Oct. 10, the Lady Raiders host the Manson Lady Trojans at 4:30 p.m. on the field in Grand Coulee at the former middle school.

Then on Saturday, Oct. 12, the Ladies host Bridgeport at 11 a.m.
