9/10 - Police told a juvenile girl at a house on Kelso Avenue about a barking dog complaint. She apologized and said she’d bring the dog inside.

9/11 - Police were made aware of a blue Chevy truck with a white stripe that has been around Hill Avenue when kids get on and off the bus in the mornings and afternoons. The superintendent of of schools told police he would have bus drivers keep an eye out for the truck and to get a license plate or driver description. Police didn’t see a vehicle matching the description when it was reported.

- A Coulee Dam woman said she had lost her wallet a few days earlier at either Safeway or Harvest Foods. She said her wallet was mailed to her from the Grand Coulee Post Office and that she had to pay the postage due when she received it. She said $1,500 was missing from the wallet, but otherwise everything was there.

- Police confirmed an arrest warrant for a man they saw on Cardinal Road and arrested him.

9/13 - A golf cart was reported driving from Electric City to Grand Coulee. Police didn’t find the vehicle.

9/14 - A suspected driver under the influence was pulled over along SR-155 near Ludolph Road. The driver wasn’t intoxicated, but he was ticketed for not having insurance or a license.

9/15 - A person was reported to have been walking in the area of Goodfellow Avenue and Park Avenue carrying a sword and dressed in dark clothing, possibly looking into vehicles. Police searched the area extensively and found no one matching that description.

9/16 - A woman in the Spokane Way area was reportedly upset about a dog being shot and said she was going to get her gun. Police contacted her near Alcan Road, where she said she was upset about someone’s dog getting shot but she wasn’t going to shoot anyone. A group of people on Spokane Way had no awareness of a dog being shot or a woman yelling about a gun.

9/2 - Police responded to Stevens Avenue, where females were said to be screaming loudly outside at 4 a.m. A Grand Coulee officer was also there responding to the same report. Neither found anything suspicious in the area.

9/3 - A woman reported a barking dog in the area of Central and Civic Way. Police responded. The complainant said the dog had been taken inside after she reported it. She said she was tired of it barking.

9/4 - A bike that had been left on private property on Cedar Street was reported to police. The reporting party wanted it off their property. Police took the bike.

9/5 - Police responded to a boy who needed help with a cactus stuck in his leg. Some boys were out riding bikes along the river on the Okanogan County side. The boy with a small cactus in his leg said he wanted an ambulance to come take it out. But he said it was too painful when a responding EMT attempted to remove it; he wanted to go to the hospital to have them numb him before removal. The boy was taken to Coulee Medical Center. His friends rode their bikes home. A tribal officer helped take the boy’s bike to his home.

- A woman for whom police had an arrest warrant was spotted on Birch Street near the casino in a van. She was informed she was under arrest and taken to Okanogan County Jail.

9/7 - An officer was asked to deal with a car on Spruce Street unlicensed since 2012 and parked on public property against Coulee Dam’s code. He asked Okanogan County Dispatch to send a tow truck. They contacted Jackson’s Towing, who reportedly told them something like, “we’ll get to it when we feel like it.” So Wilbur Auto Body was called and towed the vehicle.

9/8 - A woman on Spruce Street was reportedly yelling, and a neighbor was concerned for her safety. A man eventually answered the door for the responding officer and told him he’d had his hearing aids out while he slept, and so couldn’t hear his wife yelling for him. She was reclined in an electric recliner and couldn’t get out of her chair when the power went out, so was yelling for him. Everything was fine.

- A woman reported hearing someone opening one of her windows. She said she’d had some windows open to cool the home, and heard the noise of a window being slid open. An officer walked around her residence and didn’t see any signs of forced entry, but said to call police if she heard any more strange noises. The woman thanked the officer.

- Two approximately 10-year-old boys allegedly attempted to steal a beer from the gas station but were caught by an employee. An officer spoke to the boys. The store owner, who wasn’t there at the time, didn’t wish to press charges nor have them banned since they are just kids. The officer took them to their aunt who lives nearby, and whose credit card they had. She said she’d deal with them. The officer told the boys they were lucky and that they could get into serious trouble doing what they did.

9/9 - A Camas Street man was arrested for violating a no-contact order after he allegedly told his neighbor he needed to control his dog. The man said he was talking to a woman he was with, and not the neighbor.

9/10 - A Camas Street man said that another man walked by his truck while walking his dogs, hit the truck with his walking stick, and grabbed his crotch. The other man was approached by an officer on Central Drive and told the officer he was walking the dogs when he was called a name by the truck owner. He continued walking, he said, and denied hitting the vehicle with the walking stick. A relative of the first man said at that time that they had the incident on video. The officer went back to the first man, who admitted calling the man a name. The officer later received a copy of the video, but the police report doesn’t detail it.

- A Camas Street man reported that his neighbor, against whom he has a no-contact order, had trouble getting out of his driveway, and he laughed. The neighbor allegedly told him to “laugh it up,” and called him a profane name. The neighbor denied saying anything, and stated he planned to move out of town. No charges were filed, but the report was filed.

9/13 - A man reported that a USBR-owned trailed had been broken into. No liftable prints were found. The man said he didn’t notice anything missing at that time, and that he had to catch a flight to New Mexico. He was told to call Coulee Dam Police back if he found anything missing. The man left a voicemail later saying a 2000-watt generator and a hammer drill were missing, and he would call back once in New Mexico.

- A Central Drive man reported a loose dog he’s seen it running loose for weeks. An officer knew the owner to be a Colville Tribal member and called their police department to ask them to respond. An officer there told the Coulee Dam officer that she would ask someone to respond, and follow up on the situation herself soon thereafter.

- A woman said a dog had chased her small children around the Walnut Street area, and they were afraid of it. The officer found the dog, said to belong to a Civic Way resident. The officer noted the dog appeared friendly and tried to lick his hand. Two juveniles approached the officer and said it was their dog. The juveniles took the animal to their mother’s house. and were told by the officer to have their dad get it touch with him regarding the dog running at large.

9/14 - A man told an officer at the police station that his ear hurt and he was tired of the pain. He wanted to know what to do about it. An officer told him he wasn’t a medical professional, and that he could go to the hospital. The man said he tried, but no one was there. The officer called the hospital to confirm that the emergency room was open 24/7, and told the man that. The man said he would drive to the hospital.
