8/14 - Yakima County Sheriff’s Office requested assistance from Grand Coulee Police regarding a report of a missing person from the Yakima area possibly having been spotted along Old Coulee Highway and Rosenberg Road outside of city limits about 4.5 miles. It was determined to have been a misidentification.

- Coulee Medical Center reported a phone stolen from its coffee stand inside the hospital. Security footage showed a man, identifiable to an officer, approach the closed coffee stand at about 10 p.m., take something, and leave. The hospital requested the man be permanently banned from the property.

- A man’s fence was damaged in the Delano area, allegedly from a motorhome that was being towed with a “firehose,” but without brakes, getting loose during the towing process. The property owner said he told the two men towing the motorhome to stop during the process. Photographs were taken of the fence. One of the men involved in towing the motorhome was cited for unsafe and improper backing, causing an accident. The other was cited for having a suspended license.

- A suspicious person at an empty Partello Parkway house turned out to be a man whose job it was to secure and prep the house for auction by a bank. He was replacing locks, making sure smoke detectors worked and more.

8/17 - An officer pulled over a vehicle near the overlook just above Grand Coulee Dam when a cigarette butt was dropped out of the passenger side. The passenger turned out to be wanted on a warrant and was taken to Dry Falls where he was allowed to use the restroom and smoke a cigarette before being handed over to a Grant County deputy to complete the journey to jail.

- A Grand Coulee officer assisted Coulee Dam and tribal police officers in a situation on Spruce Street, where a man was said to be aggressive and threatening toward his upstairs neighbor and landlord. The man had taken off his shirt and was pacing the lawn when an officer used a “modified arm bar” to “escort” him to the ground where other officers were able to get control of him before he was taken by tribal police to Okanogan County Jail.

8/19 - Police informed two juveniles and their father that Grand Coulee Dam’s Visitor Center is closed after the laser light show. Someone had reported them looking into the windows of the visitor center.
