Raider fans shouted cheers as the Raiders defeated Liberty High School (Spangle) Wednesday at the WIAA State 2B Basketball Tournament in Spokane, 41-37.

They'll play Life Christian Academy tomorrow at 2 p.m. Winning that would put them one game away from the championship game; losing would mean they would play at 10:30 a.m. on Friday for a shot at either fourth place or sixth.

A win tomorrow would pit them on Friday at 5:30 p.m. against the winner of the Saint George's-Toutle Lake game, for a shot at the championship on Saturday.

The game stayed close the entire time against the Liberty Lancers at Spokane Arena on Wednesday. The score was tied 13-13 at the end of the first quarter, and the Raiders led 25-22 at the end of the half. The Lancers took the lead very briefly in the third quarter, but Raider Trevor McCraigie took the lead right back for the Raiders with a mid-range jump shot to go back up 29-28. The Raiders led 32-30 at the end of the third, and won 41-37.
