Nine people rush past icy puddles down the beach at Spring Canyon 12 hours into 2019 to take a “Coulee Polar Plunge” into Lake Roosevelt. The air temperature was about 33° F. The water temperature measured 42° with a thermometer brought by one of the plungers, but it definitely did not feel warmer.
