Delores "Toots" Juanita George, age 82, of Nespelem, passed away on October 23, 2018.

The Rosary was held October 26, 2018, at the Nespelem Catholic Longhouse.

Funeral Services were held October 27, 2018, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Nespelem, with Father Jake Morton SJ and Radford George officiating. Final resting place is at the Nespelem Community Cemetery.

Delores was born in Nespelem to Orie Radford "Bud" and Juanita Runnels Gallaher on May 30, 1936. She graduated from Nespelem High School in 1954.  She married Max Hobrecht Sr., moved to San Antonio, Texas, and had three sons; Max Jr., Steven and Donald. Upon returning home to Nespelem, she married Melvin George and had twins: Radford and Carlene.

She was an office assistant for years at Colville Tribal Logging, from where she retired. She was a loving Mother and Grandmother. She loved cooking, gardening, canning, hunting and was an avid quilt maker. She loved the time she spent with her children, grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews and special friends.

Delores is preceded in death by her parents, Bud Gallaher and Juanita Gallaher-Fruit; her siblings, Rose Mae Nanamkin and Bob Gallaher; and her son, Donald L Hobrecht.

Delores is survived by her children: Max (Cathy) Hobrecht Jr., Steve (Molly) Hobrecht, Radford (Jody) George and Carlene (Matt) Yacinich; her brother: Jim Gallaher; sisters: Sharon (Tom) Holmdahl and Joanne (Michael Nearents) Cook; her grandchildren: Shane (Serina) Hobrecht, Amy (Jack) Ballenger, Brook (Daniel) Cambon, Kimberley (Keller Person) Hobrecht, Melissa (Mark) Cook, Stephanie (Joel) DeWinkler, Waylon Hobrecht, Tara Hobrecht, Shannon Nanamkin, Michelle Rosane, Brandon George, Shelby (Jason) Boyd, Maddesyn George, Robert George and Kamill (Vic Paz) Yacinich; her great-grandchildren: Sarah, Shan, Parker, Grahmn, Beckett, Palmer, Kaylee, Colby, Jacob, Savannah, Chloe, Jazzlynn, Kirah, Nova, Neytiri, Mason, Marisha, Kingston, Alyssa, Sienna, Devon, Amanda, Logan, Dawnie, Nate, Korynn, Cash, Jackson, Jade, Mylan Jr., Whisper, Brady and Bayne, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

The family of Delores wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Caregivers: Aja, Michelle, Shelby, Jackie and Gary, Cassandra, Koree and Danita, Brewster Regency and Coulee Medical Center Long Term Care.
