Lady Raiders shut out Tonasket, Soap Lake in volleyball by Jacob Wagner The Lady Raiders defeated Tonasket then Soap Lake this past week, winning both volleyball matches 3-0. In Tonasket Sept. 18, the Lady Raiders won in three sets, 25-22, 25-18 and 25-16 to defeat the Lady Tigers. "I was finally able to get my swing players in a game," said Head Coach Teri Sue Reed, adding that there was "very consistent serving by Gloria Michel." At home against Soap Lake Thursday, the Lady Raiders continued to dominate, winning in three sets again, 25-17, 25-21, and 25-16 to take the match against the Lady Eagles. "We were well balanced against Soap Lake," Reed said. "I have a deep bench with a lot of talent. It's nice to play teams that I'm able to get some of them in for the experience." "The Lady Raiders are getting better each game," Reed continued. "We are looking forward to some stiff competition after the last three easy wins." The Lady Raiders played at home against Liberty Bell last night, results of which will be reported in next week's Star. In Tonasket Sept. 18, the Lady Raiders won in three sets, 25-22, 25-18 and 25-16 to defeat the Lady Tigers.
