The Arcora Foundation SmileMobile, which travels the state offering dental services to children who might not otherwise have access to dental care, will be in Coulee Dam at Lake Roosevelt Schools from May 29 until June 1.

A press release from the organization says that the SmileMobile is staffed by a clinic manager, dentist and dental assistant and will provide dental examinations to children, teens and pregnant women.

Nearly one in five third-graders suffer from “rampant decay” in seven or more teeth, the organization asserts.

Those wanting an appointment should call right away, 888-286-9105. The organization accepts Apple Health and offers a sliding-scale fee based on family income and size.

The SmileMobile is operated by Arcora Foundation, a nonprofit organization created and partially funded by Delta Dental of Washington in partnership with Seattle Children’s Hospital.

The SmileMobile, which travels the state year-round providing services ranging from exams and preventive care to fillings and minor oral surgery, has examined and treated more than 40,000 youngsters in communities throughout Washington.
