The school board accepted two resignations Monday night, one of them from an assistant principal, and granted one supplemental contract.

Assistant Principal Margo Piver submitted her resignation from the elementary school; she is in her second year here, having come to the district from the Walla Walla School District. She plans to take a position in the Milton-Freewater School District in Oregon for the next school year.

Also resigning was Carisa Brown-Erickson, who is currently in the district’s nursing office.

Jessica Tufts was given a supplemental contract for being a member of the curriculum committee. She currently teaches in the elementary school.

Superintendent Paul Turner said the district “will really miss Piver.” In addition to being assistant principal, Piver serves this year as athletic director.

“Piver did an outstanding job here, and moves on to a situation well suited for her,” Turner stated. Economics played a factor in her leaving, Turner explained.
